The Club

Vila Nova de Cerveira, known as Vila das Artes, is also a village with a strong tradition in sports. Passionate about Vila Nova de Cerveira and the practice of Padel, three young people from Porto, Francisco Barbosa, João Portugal and Maria Teresa Rodrigues, saw in this sport an opportunity to enrich the recreational offer of the municipality and to found a center of practice and training in Padel, hitherto non-existent in the region. Thus, in 2021, the idea of creating “Quinta de S. Gonçalo – Clube de Padel” came up.

Initially dedicated to wine production when it was built more than 100 years ago, Quinta de S. Gonçalo was recently restructured in order to build a complex for the practice of Padel, intimately inserted in nature. In line with the strong social and convivial component associated with this sport, Quinta de S. Gonçalo – Clube de Padel also has a bar service and lounge areas. Additionally, to make up for the lack of spaces for the sale of padel support material, Quinta de S. Gonçalo – Clube de Padel offers a point of sale for rackets, balls, grips, sneakers, bags, among others.
